01/11/2007 - Worcester 1-2 MGA - Chris Hollindale
Having started their season with a hugely disappointing 2-0 loss (their first league defeat since February 2006) against a distinctly average Teddy Hall, the MGA got back to winning ways against Worcester, league champions for the last two years.
Worcester took an early lead with a great through ball that split the defence, and a cool finish. But from then on the MGA dominated the first half and were soon level when Jacob Lloyd ran onto a long ball over the top and finished low in the bottom corner for his first goal for the MGA. The MGA were well in the ascendency at this point, with Steve doing his usual and slashing off target from close range with the keeper stranded. And sure enough they took a deserved lead just before half time when an incredible run from Robbie Mac down the left earned us a corner that Hol turned in at the near post.
Second half Worcester began stronger, and could have been level when their striker rounded Mike, only for Andy Royle to come across to clear off the line. The MGA had to soak up a lot of pressure, with all of the makeshift back 4 fighting brilliantly, and could have easily snatched a decisive third on the break but for some great saves from the Worcester keeper. In the end the MGA held firm for a famous victory.

05/09/2007 - New Season's Fixtures - Chris Hollindale
The 2007/8 league fixtures have been published online.
The firsts, under the captaincy of Ryan Fox, will start away at Teddy Hall in the Parks, followed by trips to Wadham and champions Worcester.
The seconds, skippered by Ben Levy, make the long trip to Jesus, while Ben Forrest's thirds have their first game away at New.

James Kachel has contacted me with news that there will be an mga-vets team entering the wimbledon and district league in London next season (Wadham old boys have a team in the same league!) After three weeks and a prompting from Hol I've now put the photos from the final on the website. I've split them into two albums. The first being just the match and the second being after the match of reactions, collecting medals and Brasenose lifting their undeserved silverware.
